Censorboard, Drugs and Punjab

Punjab the land of 5 rivers, Indus valley civilization, epic battles of Mahabharata. The motherland of Bhagat Singh, Udham Singh, Lala Lajpat Rai. A state of pure culture, colorful tradition and symbol of hardwork, dedication and sacrifice.

But we can't deny from the fact of serious Drugs problem in Punjab.  Sukhbir Singh Badal(CM of Punjab) said that out of 2.77 cr population of Punjab only 0.06% uses drugs which is only 16,000 people. But a study conducted by PODS(Punjab Opioid Dependence Survey) says " there are 2.32 lakh drug dependent which is 0.84% of the population which includes only adults. Punjab has 1.9cr person aged 18 yrs and above which means 1.2 % of population, which is double the rate of nation(0.7%).

Now whom do you believe. Badal or PODS. There is no surprise that the government is hiding the facts because only 1.8% of drug addicts are getting help from government and according to am article published in New York Times on 18th April 2012, politicians give drugs to buy votes. The situation near borders are worst. There is a village Maqboolpura which is known as the village of widows due to the deaths of men because of drugs.

Now, Udta Punjab which will be showing to everyone, the serious problem of drugs and how it ruins not only your life but that of people around you also is facing ban, cuts and so many problems mainly because of Pahlaj Nihlani.

Pahlaj Nihlani(Censorboard cheif) banned A rated movies on TV by saying "earlier A rated movies included only horror and violence but now sexuality is the main theme". Now let me tell you the name of movies he produced and the songs in it

1.Andaz(1994)
Songs- "Khada Hai, Khada Hai, Khada Hai"
              "Lelo meri, Lelo meri"
              "Ye maal gaadi"
2.Aag ka Bola(1989)
Song- "Ye sharab cheez buri Hai"

Wow Nihlani, wonderful job and that also in 1989 and 1994. I know the song in Aag ka Gola is saying alcohal is bad by showing alcohal then what with Udta Punjab.

He also said youngsters will start searching for porn because of sunny Leone. Amazing, before sunny leone, youngsters didn't know about Sasha Grey, Lisa Ann, Tori Black. And now by reading this part of my blog, youngster will start searching for more porn. Does this make any sense? No and so does Pahlaj Nihlani.

He also said that movies like Omkara, PK, Gangs of Waseypur comes under his banned list. Did you saw increased crime rate in youngsters after release of Omkara and Gangs of Waseypur? Did you saw riot and strikes on the basis of religion in youngsters after release of PK. No and because of people like you India lacks quality movies and is full of senseless and shit movies. Movies like Go Goa Gone can be released because it has nothing to do with your filthy politics and cheap thinking.

I will go for Udta Punjab without any single cut, will you?
