10 characters in every Indian marriage
Indian marriage is an occasion of unlimited enjoyment and
fun. All the planning and preparation starts way back from the actual date of
the marriage and it is very much necessary because buying clothes for relatives
and yourself, arrangement of lights, cameraman, food, tent and all other things
can’t be done in a week. Marriage means gathering and there are many common
characters whom you will find in most of the marriages. So in this blog, I have
mentioned the 10 most common characters whom you will find in every Indian
marriage.
1.Food Inspector
They are mostly old people who don’t have anything to do
with the marriage or we can say they enjoy monitoring the preparation of food.
They will sit around the haulwai under the tent and will keep tasting each and every
item being prepared as food inspector and will give an expert comment about
every dish. Topics like politics, youth, society and a cup of tea is all they
need.
2.Tension initiator
A marriage without even a little bit of tension is like a
myth. So many people, so many minds, so many expectations, there has to be some problem for sure. But there are few people who are in search of
initiating tension or will support such kind of activities. The family
organizing the marriage is always afraid of them and provide special care to
cool their mind. These kind of people think that a marriage without a tension
is a like a dal without tadka.
3.Song loving Aunty
She is a party animal and that’s why she loves songs. She
will rush towards the most highlighted place of the house, take a dholak, will
call other ladies and will sing and play tabla till her last breath. They are
very much important in every marriage, as a marriage without sangeet is
nothing. They set the floor on fire with only vocals, tabla and a spoon.
4. Group of kids
Every marriage has a group of kids who don’t care about the
place, time and event. They come like a tornado and destroy most of the things
which comes in front of them. Their main aim is to destroy your plans, but
everybody loves them. They don’t stay at
a place for more than an hour, but they leave traces of their crime wherever
they go. Flowers and other decorations tops their list of destruction.
5. Loophole Uncle
It doesn’t matter how perfect the marriage is, there will
always be a person who will be able to find a loophole in the arrangements. It
looks like someone has planned to destroy your happiness and has sent a cross
verifier to you. The common complaints of a loophole uncle are
-Food is not good
- Worst sleeping arrangements
- Nobody is responsible
- Gifts are cheaper
6. “You can’t see me”
People
Oh so it is a marriage, but it doesn’t matter to “you can’t
see me” people because they can be seen only three times a day; breakfast,
lunch and dinner. Nobody knows where they are, from where they come and where
they go. They can also belong to the distant relatives category who are not
that much popular among the family and that’s why they keep themselves hidden.
7. Not available guy
A marriage
requires a lot of preparations and who does that? The answer is simple, the Not
available guy. You will see him running from here to there, holding papers and
pen in his hand. Family members will keep shouting on him for taking meal and
rest, but he will always be in a rush. He is the most necessary part of the
marriage as without him, the marriage will not be possible.
8. Party Animal
They are the male party animals who are always ready to
drink and smoke. You will mostly find them on the terrace of the house with chakhna and bottles. Mehndi, Sangeet,
Reception, you name the occasion and they will drink. Everybody knows about the
group of these party animals and no one complains as marriage is all about
enjoyment.
9. On the time people
They will arrive as the baraat is going to leave the house
and will leave as the bride gets off the stage. They are very rare species of
marriage and only a few people are able to see them. They don’t believe in
staying and are very much punctual to the time. Before knowing their name, you
will know their train schedule for departure and arrival.
10. Celebrity
He is either the bride or the groom. Wherever he/she goes,
the crowd follows him/her. You will never see them alone as they are always
surrounded by people. They are the center of attraction and have mostly yellow
colored body. They suffer a lot because sitting and following all those complex
rituals is not a piece of cake and that too with an empty stomach.
So if you have seen any of the above mentioned characters in
an Indian marriage, do share your experience with them and if you have seen any
extra character, we will love to know about them.
